A preface...
Today, August 12th, the day of third anniversary of my first blog which was left stunted in infancy. Again…I was locked in the cage of introversion for the last three years. Even though I had started writing blogs in August middle 2008, and I really wished to continue it, due to so many reasons it was discontinued.
Last couple of months I have been triggering out by a strong feeling that I have to get out from the cave of my self exiled introversion. Not only that I really wanted to engross with the coveted astounding social networking movement. I really loved to be the part of it.
For me the state of introverted life has never been meaningless or negative. It’s a process of contemplation and understanding the life and its mysterious ways. The intermittent withdrawal from all kinds of social activities and making the tranquil inner connection with our own soul is essential. It nourishes creative energy, ideas, understanding, transformation and wisdom.
Couple of days before, again the whole world read the news: “S&P downgraded the US credit rating for the first time since 1941, lowering it one level to AA+ while keeping the outlook at “negative.”
The blog titled “Economic calamity” was published on October-5th-2008, during the time, the first news regarding the World economic recession was came out. Even though I had written the second part of that blog, as a continuation, “Economic Calamity-2” two years before, as I told, due to some reasons I couldn’t post it. I think probably it is right time and quite relevant to publish the second part. Let me post it with some miner changes.

My intention behind the Note “Economic calamity” was an attempt to analyze this subject in socio-economic point of view and philosophical aspect. But kindly consider that I am neither an economist nor a philosopher, but an inner quest and a passion to read, think, and observe the inner and outer world drive me to write, and I just would love to express myself and share my thoughts and my observations, which went through the experience of my life. It’s quite probable, there could be a feeling of cliché of the subject, though I would say, the situation and issues, which I discuss about the life and world, still exist as it was 20-25 years before, but still, definitely it is in a different perspective, which I tried to analyze this subject.
We know that death, disease and debt are the basic reasons of human being’s fear and sorrow. From the primordial time, ever since man began to think, he had ever been thinking and searching for the cause and affect of these phenomena and trying to find out the solutions. All religions and philosophies were derived from this endless search. If death and disease were a prehistoric phenomenon, the misery of debt was a consequent addition of human life as the result of his action of selfishness and greediness, since when he began to hold the nature’s resources as his private property.
Capitalism
It is quite true, in the last century capitalism and its industrial revolution had enhanced a significant advancement in science and technology to bring up the human history to a wonderful new age and abundance of wealth and prosperity was an inevitable growth of human history of it’s evolutionary process.
But the question is how do we define a developed country? What is the criterion of the sustainable development of a nation? Though a country is famed as one of the richest countries of the world, and developed in science and technology, If 90 percent of the wealth is accumulated in the hands of 10 percent of total population and the major part of citizens suffer unemployment, poverty and lack of sufficient health security how can we call that country is a developed country?
Recession
We saw the historical economic recession in 2008. It has been affected all over the world. The economic downturn still continues. Millions lost their jobs. And more over, the human race is facing the unpredictable threat of nature calamities, global warming and climate change issues.
As we know the private sector of corporate companies, multinational banks, visual Medias and advertising companies are the fundamental pillars of a modern capitalist society who generate the main economy of a country. Advertising companies have taken the significant role to create the marketing strategy and implement the tactics that how to attract the consumers giving them tempting ads and creating illusions and psychological addictions in people’s deeper subconscious mind in order to marketing their commodities. They have been playing effectively this tactics over the last half centuries. Even they could predominantly deceive the genuine culture of human society and manipulate to a false culture of consumerism. People unknowingly, mechanically began to forget their spiritual and traditional values by the massive force of the modern media influence. They were losing their soul by the unrestrained materialistic influence of the capitalist society. Today we have even reached to such a dangerous situation, threat of Global warming and climate change due to the over consumption of nature’s resources and indiscriminate industrialization. In the race of capitalism to make limitless profit, they didn’t even care the nature and the need of its sanitary environmental existence.
The economic boom, which had been artificially created, all over in capitalist world, especially in the last decades were quite unnatural and unreasonably profit oriented and over selfish. When the unrestrained profit motivation increased, the investors diversified their business to real estate marketing as well as the multinational bankers turned to a new phase of financial marketing source like credit cards and other micro finance sector. It’s quite obvious; who is the target of this corporate entrepreneurs. The majority of middle and upper middle class are the sufferers, victims, who are being exploited simultaneously from both sides. One side Medias are tempting you by showcasing the copious of material products, in which many of them are not even essential needs for human existence, and they could boastfully influence you, making it habitual addiction as unavoidable part of your daily life, so unknowingly you are forced to buy it. The other side, corporate banks tactically make the finance marketing targeting that you could easily fulfill the dreams that media has already created in your subconscious mind. They granted you the credit cards and micro finance in terms of huge hidden interest, so that you could purchase your favorite products, and at the end, your average income is gradually tactically exploited from both side, by the corporate companies and multinational bankers, and probably they became over and over richer and the majority of the middle-class community of the world plunged into the deep financial crunch. At the same time the flood of huge fund accumulated in real estate industry as an unproductive process in the form of stone, sand brick and cement. The massive amount of finance those people have taken, as bank loan and credit cards were unpaid, because of the middle class community was unable to repay as they gradually turned to crucial financial crises. At the same time due to the unexpected slump of real estate business and blockage of the liquidity triggered the crises of banking sector more harshly, so that probably the banking business also began to fall in to huge loss and many of them closed in US and other capitalist countries.
So, after the speculated economic boom we began to see the next phase of steep recession, all over the world, and still it’s reaching its downturn to the bottom level. It can be understood as a nature's law, the boom and recession as if for any ups there should be down. Life history, nothing can be static, it moves as a wave.
Where the world is moving?
American invasion on Iraq during President Bush’s time made a deep wound in human history, and still it contains the pus and pain.
Human bomb blows up and flesh scatters everywhere in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Pakistan and India and other part of the world. Thousands of innocents die day by day for no reason. Woman and children are ever the main victims of any war and terrorism. Children abandoned as orphans and women became widows. Even this moment while I gather the words for this article in my PC, just beside me, today’s newspaper, ‘Gulf News’ is laid, I can see, the latest news… “Terrorists on the rampage”…car bomb kill 100 in Peshawar, most of among them are female shoppers and children.
For how many centuries human race have been killing each other, countries invading each other? Could we solve anything yet? The conflicts and blood shed still continues.
Weapons cost millions and every war cost billions and it not only destroys the countries but also leads to the economic collapse. The budget that reserved for the defense of all countries is more than enough to wipe out the poverty from the planet.
America is one of the richest and capitalist countries in the world. Yes. Yet poverty is a reality even in America, just as it is for millions of other human beings on the planet. According to the US Censes bureau, 35.9 million people live below the poverty line in America, including 12.9 million children. This is despite abundance of food resources. Almost 100 billion pounds of food is wasted in America each year. 700 million hungry human beings in different parts of the world, especially in Africa would have gladly accepted this food. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3v7ZQUzr0yo
Why this inhuman imbalance still occurs in our planet, even in the 21st century?
Suppose if you asked this question to the capitalist philosopher and author like Bob Proctor, the answer would be: “Why do you think that 1 percent of the population earns around 96 percent of all the money that’s being earned? Do you think that’s an accident? It’s designed that way. They understand something. They understand The Secret”. Then he would introduce you the Book “The Secret”.
If we ask this question to any religious scholars, they might answer, "it is God’s will and plan, God knows everything, and he would take care of all”. They would easily put it on God’s head, as it is God’s responsibility.
Some other religions might try to explain this with the support of the low of “Karma”, cause and affect theory, and spiritual people could interpret: “the material world is a Maya-an illusion, if you do some spiritual practice like meditation, then you could possibly find the answer from within you.
And the communism could analyze it in historic and socio economic terms according to Marxian theory.
I am neither here to criticize any belief system nor to promote any ideology. I believe that every ideology is a perspective and we are in the age of new way of thinking, we need to comprehend the ideals in a comprehensive perception.
As the history moves forward, the older pattern of thinking is fading out behind to the medieval time, as a new wave of thinking processes has to come to light.
Communists believed that Capitalists are their enemies, and they hated them as much as they could. And Capitalists also have ever tried to defeat communism as well.
Religions and spiritual movements never gave the considerable acceptance for science and its wonderful inventions as well as the science also could never give the approval for religion and spirituality as the theory of science is purely up on the material evidence.
Idealism believed: “Soul is eternal”. Materialism argued: “Matter is first and only true.” Chicken or egg first? The debates still continues…and it never ends
Idealism said: “If you want to change the society, each individual has to change one by one. Otherwise the world can never be changed.”
Communism argued: “An individual could never be changed unless the whole society is changed.” So change of the society is first, it can only be fulfilled thorough revolution.”
We are past behind centuries with this endless encounters between the ideologies. But the world remains same.
It’s believed that idealism and materialism are two parallel lines, which can never be joined. No such parallel lines can be existed as straight or static. The line has to bend as a curve as a wave then only it can move and be alive. The integration of the two lines of thinking is the most equitable direction and this way of thinking has already been embarked on the periphery of horizon.
We comprehend that even though all religions and philosophies have unanimously contributed to bring up the human race for its cultural evolution, when the history shifted to the modern age of the intermingled world of multi religions, the role of religion became irrelevant as it began to divide the human society as different cult and group.
But we are reaching out to an advanced evolutionary stage of human history, the transitional time, the time to burst down all the outer crust of religious customs and rituals, and to bloom and spread out the real fragrance of spiritual essence, that the inner core of all religions and philosophies, which is eternally unanimous, that is ‘love, compassion and mercy”, and that is the original culture of any religion on this earth. We are reaching to the profound idea of one-world and oneness of humanity by accepting the inevitable intrinsic beauty of diversity.
A real enlightened spiritual person is one who has transcended all the religions, race, and nationality; and he believes that God pervades everywhere in universe, but is not to be searched outside the Universe, rather than within our hearts, and he eternally exists there in the formless form of love, compassion and mercy. He believes that nature is not supposedly to be understood as an outside entity, in fact the nature is an extended part his body and being oneness with all human beings and the entire living and nonliving entitles of the nature. He consistently works on human consciousness for the emerging oneness of humanity and ultimate merging with super consciousness.
A real communist believes that all living entity have their own right to equally share the resources of our planet Earth. One shouldn’t keep more than he needs, and should take only what he needs from the nature. Even though he doesn’t believe in God, he believes in himself and the profound state of humanity, and he stands and acts for the universal human rights and social equality and oneness of humanity.
Are we in transitional period?
It’s true that countless political and religious atrocities have been increased around the world. The uncertainty of economic recession continues. The race of nuclear weapons between the countries still remains as a threat. Nature has already begun to show up her burning anger as global warming, the climate changing. Are we going to be gulped by the huge tongue of accumulated carbon dioxide from the atmosphere? Or are we going to face the war between the countries for the “most precious treasure of water” on earth? What is happening around the world? Where are we going? Are we going back to a darken age? Are we going to face such catastrophe that we are nearing to the doomsday, According to Mayan calendar, on 21st 2012 like many western people believe?
Or can we believe it as many of eastern spiritual masters predict that our planet earth is in a transitional period of its evolution, shifting to the beginning of a golden age? Is it a quantum leap as what the quantum theory explains?
Could it be a true, some of the communist thinkers believed that the capitalism is falling down and the new world order of socialism could eventually occur?
Though it is illogical that the world can change in over night or in couple of years, it’s a fact that we live in the age of speed as the changes take place in a flickering time.
Science says human species took millions of years for its evolutionary process to reach the current state of civilization. If we compare with the total time span of human history, it’s a tiny short period of time, of around 300 years, since human history could achieve the amazing development of modern science and technology.
When Prophet Mohammad, Jesus Christ, Buddha and Lord Krishna came to earth, it took thousands of years to reach out their teachings all over the planet. Just imagine, if they come back today, their sermon would have been delivered online and the whole world could have listened and watched it on the same time.
Internet is one of the most amazing inventions of this century. We could experience it, how the world is flying towards an astonishing virtual communication era. The whole human community is getting closer and connected as a global village. Whatever you need; history, science, technology, religion, philosophy art, culture, the entire universe itself is available on your fingertip. Internet has been already become a virtual reflection of the vast universe. The explosion of multitude information, which interacts with human consciousness, makes dramatic changes in collective consciousness. It seems like the nature is mixing and mixing up all the races, belief systems, and different cultures in order to reconstruct a new system of human existence and world order.
No one knows that what will be the next happening, in the nearest future in our world neither in our life…. but don’t we feel, there are some spark of significant CHANGES happening around? Have you noticed that the children who take birth in this communication age show amazingly intelligent? Do you agree a huge number of new generations surprisingly getting turned to spiritual dominion? Have you noticed even the common people consciously or unconsciously began to use the words like…‘positive energy, negative energy, positive thoughts and negative thoughts’ in their daily life? Do you feel that more and more people are getting attracted to a holistic approach, which they try to adopt in their lifestyle and healthcare habits? Do you believe that thousands of masters and new age thinkers synchronize their power of silence and immense power of thought on human consciousness as the part of transforming the collective consciousness and it begins to reflect on material world ? Isn’t it a cool feeling, around the world, numerous of nature lovers, the “back to nature” groups those who are committed to protect the nature are getting formed and make communities all over the world? Can we think likely that the United Nation’s climate change summit will make a prolific offspring result of saving our planet from the global warming and climate change issues?
If you come to in political scenario, have you observed that the Communist China have been trying to pragmatically implement some of the capitalist formulas in order to boost up their own economy? The realization and reality
We are in a phase of realization that the earthly resources are getting limited and thus we are committed to restrain. The “theory of capitalism, competition for existence” is evolving up to a new phase. A new age of “one world philanthropic economic system” and new world order could eventually occur. We realize that the virtues of cooperation, mutual support, togetherness are the only things which could help the human race to rise, for the further growth and sustainable development of any country or individual business, like how the body cells work together, support each other for the total healthcare and growth of a human body. It is the way of nature how it does work and the nature gives the obvious lesson to us and needs us to work in such an ideal way.
Yes believe it…our wonderful planet Earth is like a human body. Every nation is the essential part of this beautiful body. We are finding out the wonderful notion that the human consciousness is getting more expanded and invisibly, inevitably inter linked.
It’s not merely an ideological notion or a fantasy; it’s a materialistic global factor too. It is evidently proven that when the economic recession occurred in one country it has been affected spreading out all over the nations. We can touch and experience it even from our nearest grocery. No single country can be isolated from the economic depression, rising up the oil price, nature calamities, global warming or any war.
These realities have taken us up to such a realm of oneness that we are all inevitably interconnected across the world.
I read somewhere: “If even one person in a house has anger, there is a battle. An angry person makes a household very sorrowful. Where there is anger and sorrow that is called hell.” How can we be peaceful if our neighbors suffer poverty and misery and there are atrocities in our surroundings? If our neighboring country is under threat of war, we are also in uncertain and unstable, we know, a third world war could possibly lead to wipe off the entire human race from the planet.
We are in such a time; we all are directly connected to the world so that we cannot have sustainable peace and tranquility in our life unless our neighbor, neighboring country, the whole planet is in the sphere of love and harmony.
And finally it’s our choice… where we have to live.... in hostile world or friendly world. It is the time to widen our dreams… expand our love…. and to be the positive thinkers. Every thought resonates and creates the world, the thought it works definitely. Before you built up your beautiful house, it was a love and a burning desire in your heart. Then the intense thought was emanated from that desire. And the power of thought began to work, you began to work for, the money came, you made a plan and your dream and idea became a material reality, your house is finally built. Behind every material manifestation there is a powerful and spontaneous thought that works, whether it is your poem, your novel, your cinema or your business, everything raised up as an idea from the energy of your love and passion, and it manifested and materialized from your power of thoughts.
It is an evolving time, of all religious scholars, spiritual masters, philosophers, intellectuals, constructive politicians and positive thinkers to be jointly appeared on the common platform, as if thousands of candles lighting up together and vanishing out the darkness.
It’s the time so many like-minded online communities being organized around the world for the human integration.
If there is a soul, the soul needs a material body to exist in this material world. How can a material body be alive unless the energy of spirit acts in a physical body?
It is the time, the science and spirituality becomes hand-to-hand and idealism and materialism have to work together for the common objective of humanity.
It is the time to understand that the universe is unimaginably vast, multi- dimensional and comprehensive, and every single dimension has its own relevance of shaping up the ultimate truth.
It is the time for us to join all together, along with the journey of human history, making revolution of a new history, of more sophisticated and civilized humankind, being part of the nature and its evolution for its utmost destiny.
